Since its arrival, pop art has become the most popular form of artistic expression. In fact, its impact is so huge on global culture that the introduction of pop art is termed as a revolution. It began to gain popularity in the United Kingdom and soon spread to the other parts of the world. Even though it began during the mid-1950s, it's still quite popular in the modern world.
Art comes in different forms and shapes - among which are texture paintings. There is a great appeal to paintings that show more depth and texture than those that have a flat look. When we we think about texture, we naturally imagine layers of paint that is applied with a palette knife of some sort. However, this is not necessarily the case as texture can take many forms and shapes.
Many of you probably recognize me by the pouring technique I use. I started with the pouring technique about 10 years ago. As a self-taught artist I experimented many styles and stumbled upon this particular effect by mistake; Yes, many great paintings are a result of mistakes. There are many pouring techniques of acrylic paint that can be found online such as Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest and many art sites, and quite a lot of images and videos of how this technique can be used.
Some artists will say Abstract Art is a "form of art", others will say "it is a personal work", "imagination", "a free form expression of thoughts on canvas", or more formally "an undefined expression of shapes, forms, colors, and textures".
For me it is all about the process. The process is mysterious, unexplained, a way of communication between my inner self and the physical world. It is not what the eye sees and the hand touches when the work is done, but a manifestation of an abstract mental process that escapes real definition.
Creating art is my passion! Every time I pass near a blank canvas I feel something explode inside of me. It is not something I can explain or pass on to someone else...but it is, always, a beginning of a new original creation. I think that this statement perfectly portrays what the viewers should feel when viewing an artist's abstract creation.
Just as an artist gets this "explosion", we receive the same feeling when looking at artworks if we truly appreciate it.
When one looks at all the trees and plants that grow around us, one can only look at the beauty of nature with admiration. The richness of color, details and variety of all growing things is simply immense, and reflecting this beauty on canvas is always an inspiration for me.
