Art Movements

Art movement is described as a style or way of doing art of art that spans over a period of time that is subtly or distinctly different than another movement of art. The style or method "moves" or changes to a different way if you will. These styles are used to describe art practiced by a group of artists within the same time period and/or region. Some art movements that have been influenced by another art movement show obvious similarities while others seem to defy their cousins because of limitations. It is interesting to study the differences between art movements and also to study the different periods of art. In contrast "art periods" will list art movements in chronological order. Some of the more common art movements will be discussed here, on Osnat Fine Art such as: modernism, conceptual art, pop art, abstract art, impressionism, and expressionism. Please take a journey into the world of art and art movements right here at Osnat Fine Art.
